Jersey Club King settings guide
Jersey Club King has a few settings you can change to fit how you like to play. They're saved on your device, so they stay the same next time you open the game.
Game mode
- Single-tap: Notes come down one lane, and you tap each one. This is the default and the easiest place to start.
- 3-lane (curved): Notes come down three curved lanes. Each note has to be hit in its own lane, which makes the chart busier.
Lane style
These change how the lanes look. They don't change how the chart plays.
- Classic: The default lanes.
- Twist: The lane curves sway slowly over time.
- Spin: Dashed rings turn around each hit target.
Channel (what the notes follow)
- Sub-bass & kick: The notes follow the kick drum. This is the default, and it matches the feel of most Jersey club tracks.
- Snares / mids: The notes follow the snare and the mids. Try it on tracks where the snare drives the rhythm.
Hold notes
When this is on, long bass hits become hold notes that you press and keep held for the length of the sound. Hold notes only appear with the sub-bass and kick channel. They don't change your score, so leaderboards stay the same whether you use them or not.
Scroll speed
Scroll speed sets how fast notes move toward the hit line. The range is 0.8x to 3.0x, and the default is 1.5x.
Higher speed means less time to react. At 1.5x a note takes about 1.2 seconds to reach the line. At 3.0x it takes about 0.6 seconds, and at 0.8x about 2.3 seconds.
Sensitivity
Sensitivity sets how strong a beat has to be before the game turns it into a note. The default is 1.35.
- Lower value (labelled High): The game picks up more beats, so the chart is busier.
- Higher value (labelled Low): The game only picks up the loudest hits, so the chart is sparser.
Pick a value that makes the chart feel like the track. If the chart feels too busy or too empty, move the slider a little at a time.
Timing windows
These are fixed and can't be changed. A perfect hit lands within about 0.12 seconds of the beat, and a great hit within about 0.25 seconds. Scoring and ranks are explained in Scoring, ranks, and combos.
Arena matches
In 1v1 arena matches, both players are given the same chart setup, so the notes are the same for everyone.
Quick presets
- New to rhythm games: Single-tap, classic lanes, sub-bass and kick, scroll speed 1.2x, sensitivity 1.35, hold notes off.
- Chasing high scores: Single-tap or 3-lane, scroll speed 2.0x or higher, and sensitivity tuned until the chart matches the track.
- Playing for the sound: Snares / mids, twist or spin lanes, and a lower scroll speed so you can enjoy the track.
